The Evelyn Rug Kit
The Evelyn Rug Kit
This pattern will guide you through weaving a weft faced wool and linen rug in plain weave. Using wool from Briggs and Little, Canada’s oldest woollen mill, the rugs weft is 100% wool while the linen warp lends the rug qualities of strength, non- stretchiness and firmness.
The design was created in one of our workshops by longtime weaver Evelyn Schwabe. The three colour design is well balanced and incorporates many interesting patterns formed by this woven structure.
