Fern is aka Jessica, Jess, Jess Fern, Fernie, or in full, Jessica Fern Facette. Sorry if that's confusing or awkward, but she really is happy to be called any of the above. THAT IS NOT HER PICTURED LEFT. Actual Fern is a sturdy 5'1".
Fern has been crafting for nearly two decades. It started with crocheting and knitting in high school and has culminated to completing the Master Weaver Level 1 at Olds College in 2015/16. (Level 2 commences June 2017!) Fern's own woven creations have been for sale in Edmonton at the Royal Bison Art & Craft Fair once a year since 2013. Also, collaborations with an Edmonton based garment designer brought Fern's weaving to the runway at Toronto Fashion week in 2014 & 2015! Fancy!
Jessica currently volunteers assistant teaching weaving at Strathcona Place Seniors Centre, as a general enthusiastic helper at the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts, and in the past has taught weaving at iHuman Youth Society.
When not crafting, Fern is also a full time photographer. She's been pretty lucky to have travelled the world photographing weddings. See for yourself at www.jessicafernfacette.com
