Intro to Edge Beading class is the perfect beginner class and it will show you a few different techniques to beading along the edge of a material. This skill is used in a variety of different ways in many Indigenous beadwork pieces. Participants will walk away with a Felt Heart Pin that is finished off with the edge beading technique. Take home written instructions and a materials/tools list for the pin you’ve created to help create more at home! 

PROJECT: Small 1-2” Felt Heart Pin, Participants will get two pieces of felt cut out in the shape of the heart, with one having the flat back pin already attached. (This is glued on to save drying time in the actual class) They will learn to attach one heart to the other with the edge beading technique.

DISCUSSION: Samples, materials, various uses and even what advanced techniques

INCLUDED: All materials are provided including felt hearts, hardware, hand protectors, beads, needles and thread.

PREREQUISITE: None! This class is for Beginners.

WHAT TO BRING: You’re preferred method of note taking. Reading glasses if needed.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Due to very small class sizes, we are unable to offer refunds on workshops. If for any reason you are unable to attend, you can send someone in your place. Any classes cancelled by us due to low registration or health mandates will have the option for a refund or transfer to future date.
