For those who have taken our rug weaving workshop and want to weave more! Please note the looms will be set up for rag rug weaving, not the typical wool weaving workshops.

RUG: The loom will be dressed with 4/8 cotton in neutral colours and ready for weaving. Students will be given a ten minute demo, then will work independently to weave a 24 × 36” rag rug. Weft rags are not included, students can bring their own (rags) prepared for weaving. Prepare rags by cutting into 1” strips that are as long as possible. We use this method for cutting fabric:

Price includes loom rental, warp and loom set up fee, and all materials with the exception of the weft.

When you purchase a drop in, students can drop in ANYTIME DURING THE HOURS LISTED BELOW for the corresponding months. Depending on your speed, you will need approximately 6-15 hours of weaving to complete your project.

ALL PREP AND FINISHING (CUTTING RAGS, FRINGE CUTTING & TWISTING, ETC.) MUST BE DONE AT YOUR OWN HOME. WE DON’T LEND OUT TOOLS TO FINISH YOUR PROJECTS.
