Join Ash Alberg from the Pembina fibreshed in learning how to use natural dyes to dye wool without shocking the fibres. Suitable for all levels of experience, Ash will lead students through the processes of preparing protein-based and cellulose-based fibres for dyeing using natural materials. While the wool dyes, we'll engage in conversations about ethical foraging, where to purchase natural dyes, local dye plants and the role of fibresheds, and troubleshooting issues. Come prepared to ask questions, take notes, and have fun!
